This is the brand new webpage for Spooney, the singer/songwriter extrordinaire, formerly of Austin, TX, and as of very recently of New Orleans, LA. Thanks for stopping by and showing your support. So this is a new beginning for Spooney. After the release of 'Don't Change a Thing' early on in January, I went on a 2 month trip to Israel and Romania to visit the family, and when I got back I had a calling to go volunteer in Nawlins. And although I've been here before, most recently right after Katrina (although they wouldn't actually let me within the city limits), this time I fell in love and felt like I had to stay. So knowing nearly no one and having next to no money makes life difficult for an aspiring musician, but even so, the fellow artists I've met at open mics, etc. have restored my confidence and reaffirmed my belief that moving down here was the right move.
